Because of its extra long rope the Thirty is specially suited for rescues in touring specific danger situations. Especially on big rivers more rope is often required than what can be thrown. E.g. tag-line rescues or support from a bridge. In maritime rescue situations the Thirty can be used in man-over-board rescues.
